Meaning: Sopranos Pilot 1/14/21 There are many close ups in this while there are in the psychiatrist room. when the man wakes up there is a mid-shot to show what he wears in the morning. there is also many mid shots when he is walking to get the newspaper and when he goes to see the ducks. there are also many long shots in this scene and when the family is looking through the window.
Sound:The sound was pretty basic beside the beginning when he was driving there was a music filler. There is also a music filler when he goes to think about what happened that could have caused him to black out.
Editing: The only real editing is when there is a timelapse from the night to morning also when it goes from when he is talking to the psychiatrist and then it shows months before the blackout.
Mise-en-scene: When the man is going to the psychiatrist he is dressed up nicely and inside of the psychiatrist room there is 2 chairs across from each other. when it is morning he is in a robe because he went to get the newspaper. when the man is in the pool the rest of the family is looking through the window at what he is doing. the way that is setup so the family can see him makes the family think he is weird.
Meaning: What we are seeing is the actions after and before this man had a blackout. we get to see him doing.
